Virgin Australia, Qantas and Jetstar have added more flights to the schedules as borders begin reopening between states in time for Christmas.
On Tuesday, it was announced Queensland will extend its border with New South Wales, which will allow residents from areas like Byron Bay into the state and South Australia will open its borders to New South Wales residents on Thursday.
Straight away, Qantas announced daily services between Sydney and Adelaide from Thursday, and Jetstar will increase flights between the cities from five a week to twice daily from October 1, and three times daily from November 1, with a sale on tickets to allow.
On Virgin Australia, return flights from Adelaide to Sydney will increase to form three times a week t daly from October 2.
Bookings will open tomorrow.
