Kiss Me, Kate! at the Q
This Broadway musical is getting its very own spin at the Q in Queanbeyan as it opens this weekend. If you’ve never heard of this show, the musical is written by Bella and Samuel Spewack. The show opens with a theatre company preparing to stage a musical version of William Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew.” Conflict arises that results in a lot of funny moments between cast moments. We can’t wait to get down to the Q and see what it’s all about.
Tickets are available at the Q website here.
Canberra Roller Derby League
It’s round two and all teams are back in action. This week the Brindabelters will take on the Surly Griffins at Southern Cross Basketball Stadium in Tuggeranong. In a show of support for the LGBTIQ+ community, the Canberra Roller Derby League will have charities in attendance that support this community. Sounds like a lot of fun.
Doors open at 6:00pm with the first whistle at 6:30pm. Tickets are available here.
This Sunday it will be worth getting up a little earlier to check out the German Markets at the Harmonie German Club in Narrabundah.
