Police are investigating a collision between a 10-year-old on a bicycle and a car in Belconnen earlier this week.

The child was riding along Macfarland Burnett Ave in Macgregor at about 7:30pm on Monday when it collided with the vehicle.

A blue 2001 Ford Falcon ute left the scene before police arrived, witnesses said the vehicle had a large dent in the bonnet and a cracked front spoiler.

The child suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.

It comes as Police investigate a separate incident where a three car collision along the Tuggeranong Parkway also injured a pedestrian.

The crash took place in the southbound lanes of the Parkway at the Glenloch Interchange at about 5:30pm on Tuesday.

A pedestrian involved in the collision suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.


Police are now looking to speak with anyone who witnessed a white Honda Civic in the area prior to the crash.
