The search is on for a series of missing yearbooks, forgotten in time by a Canberra high school.

Belconnen High will celebrate its 50th anniversary this year and to mark the occasion, have decided to put together a collection of its annual publications.

While compiling the display, organisers quickly realised there were some missing spots

The school has now put out a call for help, to track down the lost copies.

A total of nine yearbooks are missing in action, dating as far back as 1977 and as recently as 2014.

  • 1977
  • 1981
  • 1992
  • 1995
  • 1996
  • 2011 (this year the book was produced as a CD)
  • 2012
  • 2014

Former students and staff have already started coming forward on social media with their copies of the missing publications, however, a number of years still remain unaccounted for.

Locals in possession of a missing copy, who are willing to donate or loan their books, are being encouraged to get in touch with the school.
