A man has been charged after being extradited from the ACT following a serious crash in Gunning late last year.

An extensive investigation was launched into the incident where two Mazda 3 sedans collided head-on along Gundaroo road in the morning of 16 December 2020.

It’s alleged the 33-year-old man, driving a grey Mazda 3, failed to negotiate a right-hand bend and collided head-on with a white Mazda 3 sedan.

The driver and a male passenger in the grey Mazda and two women in the white Mazda were taken to Canberra Hospital with serious injuries.

As part of the investigation, it was discovered the man had been disqualified from driving for life in NSW and ACT.

The Canberra man was extradited from the ACT on Wednesday where he was taken to Queanbeyan Police Station and eventually charged.

He faces two counts of dangerous driving, three counts of causing bodily harm by misconduct, in charge of motor vehicle, negligent driving and not keeping left of dividing line.
