A Macgregor teenager has had his licence suspended after being caught travelling at more than double the speed limit on Monday night.
Police conducting speed detection duties caught the provision driver as he sped past them along William Hovell Drive.
The 17-year-old was clocked at 167km/h along the 80 km/h stretch of road.
As a result, the teenager has been fined $1,841 for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45 kilometres.
He’s also been handed six demerit points resulting in a suspended licence for three months.
