Five pharmacies across the ACT are offering walk-in COVID vaccinations over the coming two days as part of a campaign to boost coverage amongst those who’ve had trouble booking an appointment.

The AstraZeneca vaccine will be made available this Friday and Saturday at the following locations:

  • Lanyon Pharmacy, Conder
  • Priceline Pharmacy, Westfield Woden
  • Pharmacy on Petrie, Canberra Centre
  • Capital Chemist, Uni of Canberra, Bruce
  • Franklin Discount Drug Store, Franklin

ACT Pharmacy Guild President, Simon Blacker said pharmacies had been busy delivering the first doses of Moderna which landed in the ACT last week.

But with many of those supplies now exhausted, pharmacies are again now focused on administering their AstraZeneca supplies, in the hopes of further driving the ACT’s vaccination rates.

“Anyone who’s aged 18 years or older, go and see one of those five pharmacies today or tomorrow and they’ll be able to look after you.”

All five locations are operating between 9am and 5pm Friday and Saturday.
