New South Wales health authorities, investigating the COVID-19 case detected in a worker who spent time in Goulburn last week, have now completed their risk assessment for the area.
A number of close and casual contact have been identified throughout the process, including 26 ACT residents.
ACT Health is now in the process of contacting these people to ensure they are isolating until returning a negative test result for COVID-19.
Health Minister, Rachel Stephen-Smith said ACT authorities are providing support to the people identified and will continue to work closely with NSW Health.
“Based on the information available to ACT Health and the risk assessment conducted by NSW Health, we are confident the risk to the ACT community presented by this situation is low.”
There are no plans to make any changes or implement a further tightening of Public health measures in the territory in response to the case at this time.
