Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has lent a hand to our country’s bushfire appeal by packing food hampers at Foodbank Victoria.

He dropped by the hunger relief organisation to express his appreciation for their incredible efforts during the state’s bushfire emergency food and water relief response.

Last week, the launch for his new book ‘Gordon Ramsay Quick and Delicious Summer Book Party’ was transformed into a bushfire relief fundraiser.

The star chef has also auctioned a private lunch for two guests to raise funds for the Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund.

“So far, our volunteers and staff have helped distribute more than 3,200 mixed grocery hampers of essential items to feed families displaced by the bushfires in East Gippsland,” Foodbank Victoria spokesperson Alexa Viani told the Herald Sun.

Foodbank Victoria has sent in more than 138 pallets of water, plus muesli bars and ‘grab and go’ items for first responders.
