Two schools in Queanbeyan have been forced to close on Friday after COVID-19 visited their campuses.
Queanbeyan South and Queanbeyan West Public Schools have both affected after positive cases attended each of the schools.
Staff and students at both primary schools have now been directed to isolate until receiving further advice from NSW Health.
In a letter to parents, the schools said there was no need to get tested at this time, unless you are unwell.
The news follows a positive case at the Ainslie School in the ACT.
The positive case visited the school on Monday and Tuesday with on campus staff and students now isolating.
ACT Health is now working with the Education Directorate on a risk assessment to identify and contact any individuals who were at the location and considered to be a contact.
