Police have seized 21kgs of cannabis and more than $14,000 in cash during a traffic stop in Belconnen on Sunday.

Detectives pulled over the Ford Ranger SUV along Coulter Drive on Sunday night before executing a search on the vehicle.

During the search, officers uncovered several vacuum-sealed bags containing a substance believed to be dried cannabis.

They as located the cash as well as five mobile telephones.

The 28-year-old driver of the vehicle, was spoken to by police at the scene but has not been charged in relation to the warrants.

Police believe a crime syndicate focused on the supply of cannabis and other drugs into the ACT is responsible, with investigations ongoing.
