Award-winning Australian musical, Fangirls will take to the stage at Canberra Theatre next month.
The show follows the story of 14-year-old Edna who’s head over heels in love with the star of the world’s biggest boy band and the lengths that she’ll go to prove that she’s the one for him.
Written by Yve Blake, The smash hit premiered in 2019 and is billed as part musical, part concert.
However, Blake promises the upcoming season of the show will offer something unique.
“In 2019, our audiences responded like they were at a raucous concert, and after 2020, I’m so, so ready for the adrenaline hit of this show. This new production is full of surprises. It’s truly FANGIRLS 2.0.”
Canberra Theatre Director, Alex Budd said he’s excited to see the show come to life on stage in Canberra.
“We’ve had Fangirls on our wish list since it opened in 2019, and we’re so excited to bring this new and exciting work to the capital and bring out every Canberran’s inner fangirl.”
Fangirls will show at the Playhouse Theatre from March 24 with tickets on sale via the Canberra Theatre website from Monday.
