Get your body moving in the fresh air this spring, and sign up for the RSPCA’s Rescue Run!

From October 18 until October 31 animal lovers are urged to run or walk 56 km’s for the 56 thousand animal cruelty complaints the RSPCA receives nationally each year.

All funds raised go towards the organisation and the fight against animal cruelty. RSPCA inspectors are out and about every day, educating the community on responsible pet ownership and rescuing animals who’ve been subjected to cruelty.

The Rescue Run target of 56 km’s over a two-week period might sound intimidating, but when you break it down, the daily average is only 4 km’s per day. The perfect way to get your steps in this Spring.

Take part by yourself or get a group together and create a team. There are prizes and incentives to be won for reaching various fundraising goals. Every dollar raised will help animals saved from cruelty by the RSPCA ACT Inspectorate. On top of all this, come along to Next Gen on 29th of October and join RSPCA ACT for an open day.

It’ simple and easy to take part:

  1. Sign up – It’s you to the rescue! Rescue Run registration is LIVE now.
  2. Raise funds – let your friends, family and colleagues know that you’re running, walking or rolling to raise funds to save animals from cruelty. You may even want to get your friends, family or colleagues involved and start a team.
  3. Run with it – get running, walking or rolling!
