Hollywood’s Matt Damon has been spending some time down under as he stars in the upcoming Thor film.
On Tuesday, the American edition of the ‘Today Show’ organised a live interview with the man himself with the gaming area of a Byron Bay pub providing the backdrop for the TV exchange.
Zooming in from in front of the TAB wall, Damon said it was the best spot he could find to access the internet.
“The people at the local pub were nice enough to leave it open for me just so that I could do this.”
“They’ve got the best internet connection in this neighbourhood where I am.”
It’s not the first time Damon has been spotted in an unlikely place, with the Hollywood star recently papped spending some time in the nearby town of Jugiong, with close friends and co-star Chris Hemsworth.

He’s also been spotted at an AFL match at Marvel Stadium and even the MCG.
That’s got some people questioning just where he’ll pop up next, with some even willing to put money on it.
The Big Bogan in Nyngan is shoring up as the favourite location for the A-lister’s next appearance.
According to Sportsbet, other favourites include the Big Prawn, The Big Banana and the Dog on the Tucker Box.
While the odds remain low, there’s even suggestions he could be popping down to the ACT with Parliament House and The High Court both also in contention.
Here’s hoping we get to enjoy a glimpse of ‘Mr Bourne’ in ‘The Berra.’
If we’re really lucky, he might just bring Chris along with him.
