Locals who’ve recently returned from Melbourne and who have visited a Victorian declared coronavirus exposure site are being told to self-isolate and get tested for COVID-19.
It comes as the State, on Wednesday, recorded its first case of community transmission in four weeks after a security guard contracted the virus while working at one of Melbourne’s quarantine hotels.
ACT Health Minister, Rachel Stephen-Smith is now urging people who have visited one of the declared sites in Melbourne to isolate ‘immediately’, get tested and notify ACT Health.
As of 11am Thursday 4 February 2021, the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services had identified 14 locations across Melbourne where the new case had visited while potentially infectious.
