A man from Canberra’s South will face court, charged with a number of online child sex offences.

The 56-year-old was arrested at his Kambah home on Thursday after police executed a search warrant at the property.

During the search officers seized an expansion drive allegedly containing videos and images depicting child abuse material.

Police also allege the man himself is depicted in one of the videos engaging in a sexual act while viewing some of the child abuse material.

He’s been charged with one count of using a carriage service to engage in sexual activity with a child under the age of 16 and two counts of possession child abuse material.

The man faces will face the ACT Magistrates Court on Friday.
