Visitors to Lake Burley Griffin will soon be able to enjoy a meal and a drink by the lake as the redevelopment of Regatta Point continues.

On Thursday, The Federal Government announced a contract had been awarded for the operation of a café, restaurant and function centre within the refurbished building.

Senator for the ACT, Zed Seselja, shared his excitement for the new facility.

“A new café and restaurant will be an extremely welcome addition that will add vibrancy to the lake front.”

“I have long been a supporter of creating more opportunities to enjoy the beauty of Lake Burley Griffin for Canberrans and visitors to our great city alike,” Senator Seselja said.
