A Gungahlin man will face court in Canberra next month, accused of being in possessing child abuse material.

An investigation by ACT Police led to the search of two properties in Fyshwick and Bonner on Monday.

During the searches, officers located a phone and computer containing the child abuse materials.

Guns were also located at one of the properties, the two firearms were both found to be stored incorrectly.

Police suspended the man’s firearm licence and seized him his ammunition.

The 38-year-old has been charged with possessing child abuse and exploitation material and failing to store firearms correctly.

He was arrested on Monday and bailed to face court on April 6.
