Police have fined a man, who lives on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, after he visited an Ulladulla swimming centre on Monday.
It’s alleged the 70-year-old, who lives in the suburb of Avalon, visited the leisure centre at about 3:30pm yesterday.
The man used his address when checking-in to the venue, which raised concerns amongst staff.
The man was then asked to leave the and the centre closed as a precaution, with the incident reported to South Coast Police.
Investigations have revealed the man had left his home, at the centre of Sydney’s growing coronavirus cluster, on Thursday 17 December and travelled to a residence at Narrawallee.
The man is accused of failing to self-isolate from Sunday 20 December under changes public health orders imposed on Northern Beaches residents.
He’s been slapped with a $1,000 fine for allegedly failing to comply with the current directions.
