Clubs across New South Wales are shouting fully vaccinated people a free beer on Wednesday to celebrate the state reaching the 90% double vaccination rate.
The ‘Freedom Beer’ is being offered as a reward and a thanks to those who’ve come forward to get the jab, which has helped clubs reopen sooner.
Restrictions on hospitality and entertainment venues in NSW eased again on Monday with the state government brining forward its road map changes following the faster than expected vaccine uptake.
In regions surrounding the ACT, vaccination rates have continued to soar above the state average:
Surrounding NSW Region Second Dose Vax Rates:
- Queanbeyan-Palerang – 92.8%

- Goulburn Mulwaree – 92.2%
- Upper Lachlan Shire – 95%+

Almost 200 clubs across the state have jumped on board the initiative including a number of clubs in the regions surrounding the ACT.
