Police are investigating the shooting of a man in the Gungahlin suburb of Bonner on Sunday afternoon.
It’s believed at least two people tried to force their way into a home on Roy Marika Street before 5:45pm.
After a short struggle, a single shot was fired by one of the offenders which struck the occupant in the leg, before the offenders fled the scene.
The man suffered minor injuries and was taken to Canberra Hospital as a precaution.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward by contacting Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
