A Queanbeyan man has had his lost his licence and had his car confiscated after he was allegedly caught speeding along the Kings Highway at Braidwood on Tuesday afternoon.
Police detected the 31-year-old travelling in a black Ford Mustang at 158kms in a 100km zone at about 4:40pm.
Authorities pulled the car over where they found the driver, his wife and young children in the car.
The man was issued with a speeding fine of $2,520 for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45kms.
He’s also had his licence suspended for six month and his car confiscated for three months after picking up 12 demerit points, with double demerits in force over the holiday period.
