Broadway smash-hit Shrek The Musical will take to the stage at Canberra Theatre next year, much to the delight of Ogre-joyed fans.
Shrek The Musical follows the story of unlikely hero Shrek and his loyal steed, Donkey, as they set off on a quest to rescue the beautiful Princess Fiona from her tower.
With music by Jeanine Tesori and book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire, the show will take to the stage from 14 February 2021.
Canberra Theatre Director, Alex Budd said he’s thrilled to bring such an exciting production to the capital.
“Canberrans can’t wait for a great night out, and we’re delighted that come February, everyone’s favourite ogre will be giving us just that, eight times a week!”
The production marks the Gordon Frost Organisation’s first visit to the Capital in almost thirty years since Jerry’s Girls in 1991.
Tickets go on sale Tuesday 15 December.
