Canberra’s recent run of warm weather and clear skies is set to come to an end on Monday with showers forecast to make their way through the region.

A cold front is due to arrive in the afternoon, binging with it gusty winds, thunderstorms and up to 25 millimeters on rainfall.

So far this month, just 18 millimeters has fallen across Canberra.

As a result, ACT Health has made the decision to close the Brindabella Business Park and Kambah COVID-19 testing sites on Monday.

However, Health Minister, Rachel Stephen-Smith said that shouldn’t deter people from turning out to get tested.

“We’re really encouraging anyone with the mildest of symptoms to come forward for testing today.”

The EPIC and Weston Creek testing sites will remain open from 8am to 10pm, the Gold Creek pop-up site is also open between 8am and 4pm.

The newly established Erindale testing site will be closed to the public on Monday as its being used for targeted testing.
