It was supposed to be the big return for one of Canberra’s best loved events, but the pandemic has made other plans.
Organisers of this weekend’s Handmade Markets at EPIC forced to postpone its return amid the unfolding situation in Sydney.
The team took to their social media accounts on Wednesday night to deliver the bad news.
‘This is not a decision we have made lightly, but in the interest of public health and upon advice from ACT Health we feel it is the right thing to do.’
The 3-day market which was schedule to begin on Friday would have marked the events first in-person market after going virtual for more than a year throughout the pandemic so far.
Plans are already in the works to restage the market later with future dates expected to be released soon.
