ACT residents returning from the Northern Territory may be subject to new restrictions as Darwin enters a snap lockdown.
The Northern territory capital was placed under a 48-hour lockdown on Sunday afternoon, after four local cases of COVID-19 were detected, all linked to a gold mine worker who tested positive on Saturday.
As a result, anyone entering the Territory after 4pm on Sunday 27 June, who’s been in the City of Darwin, City of Palmerston and Litchfield council areas will be subject to stay-at-home orders.
Non-ACT residents who’ve been in the affected council areas will not be able to enter the Territory without a prior exemption.
The stay-at-home requirements will be in place until at least 1:30pm on Tuesday 29 June.
