9AM UPDATE: Police have identified the two victims who died when a light plane crashed into a paddock at Sutton, just north of the ACT on Tuesday afternoon.
The two men on board included the pilot, a 31-year-old man from Victoria and the passenger, an 18-year-old from Albury, both died at the scene.
NSW Police Superintendent Paul Condon said investigations into how the Essential Energy aircraft came down are ongoing.
“They were conducting aerial assessments of the high voltage lines, there’s no further about what caused the accident at this stage.”
Emergency services were called to a property along Tallagandra Lane at about 4:30pm, following reports of the crash.
A crime scene was established with officers from the Hume Police District looking into exactly how the plane came down.
It’s since been handed over to the Australian Transport Safety Bureau.
