Local Police have impounded two more vehicles following burnouts and dangerous driving in Braddon and Eaglehawke over the weekend.

A Ford Falcon sedan and a Holden Commodore utility was seized by officers on Friday morning.

It brings the total number of vehicles sized to four after two Holden Commodore sedans were picked up in Fyshwick last Friday.

Police have also identified the man accuse of smashing the back window of a marked police car during the incidents on Friday night, he’s now due to face court.

Detective Inspector Adrian Craft said the drivers of the seized vehicles could also face charges.

“The behaviour these drivers displayed showed a total disregard for law and put lives in danger,” Detective Inspector Craft said.

“Police want to send the message to the drivers that the actions seen last weekend will not be tolerated and don’t not be surprised when police come knocking.”


Investigations into the illegal car cruise and burnouts across Canberra last weekend are continuing and Police expect further arrests could be made.
