The Prime Minister has taken to Twitter to send his best wishes to New South Wales Senator, Jim Molan after he announced he’s been diagnosed with an ‘aggressive form of Cancer’.

“We’ve worked together for over a decade now & you’ve always put your service above all else, even now. You are an incredible person. We will all be here to support you through this battle ahead.” The Prime Minister said on Tuesday morning.

The Royalla based Liberal Senator announced he’ll be taking leaving from Parliament as he undergoes further testing and begins treatment.

However, Mr Molan said he’ll continue to serve his community and is committed to returning to the job.

“Although I am personally stepping back for a while, my office will remain open and fully operational, my team will continue to work hard alongside my colleagues in the Morrison Government on the issues that matter.”

“My commitment to serving you, the people of NSW and Australia, has not wavered.” He added.

The Senator and former Army General has thanked supporters for their well wishes and asked for privacy but said he’s got a number of reasons to feel ‘positive’ about the situation.
