After over 2 years of hard work by multiple teams, the Straithnairn Charity house sold at Auction over the weekend.

The first sod at the construction site was turned on March 12 2021.

The Straithnairn Charity House is a joint venture between Ginninderry and the local branch of Master Builders. The build has been led by Kane Constructions and has a specific focus on promoting opportunity for women in construction.

Proceeds from the sale will be donated to Hands Across Canberra for distribution to 3 local charities – Pegasus, Riding for the Disabled, Karinya House and Canberra City Care Charnwood.

Four amazing agents came together for the auction, under the guidance of Zango. These were Home by Holly, Ray White Canberra, MARQ Property and LJ Hooker.

The auction was epic, running for 1 hour and 33 minutes, fought out between 2 bidding families.

The final amount was an incredible 1.5 million, nine hundred and sixty thousand, six hundred dollars.
