THEY’VE DONE IT!

The UC Capitals have won their first game of the WNBL after an emphatic 92-85 victory over third-place Bendigo Spirit.

After 12 consecutive losses, and losing three of their experienced players before tip-off, the Caps managed to turn the tides and pull off a surprise victory!

And boy did they celebrate.

Dumping water all over head coach Kristen Veal, superstar Jade Melbourne said the celebratory spray was a long time coming.

“We knew we wanted to do it to Vealy from the start of the season… we set it up beautifully,” Jade said

“She thought we were all cooling down, she was like ‘where’s the team,’ and she walks in, and she just knew she was about to be saturated!”

Jade treated herself to her favourite post-win feed from Maccas, and after a triumphant display on the court – it was well deserved.

The Caps now head to Melbourne to face the ladder leaders the Boomers, but Jade and the girls are ready to keep the victory train marching on!
