March is a busy month for the nation’s capital, as Canberrans embrace Enlighten, and the many events that come with it.

This year there’s multiple opportunities at Parliament House, for locals to learn from some of the best creatives Australia has to offer.

Award-winning Canberra based designers Eggpicnic have created a series of colourful animated scenes featuring birds and trees found in the Parliamentary landscape and gardens.

Duo Camila De Gregorio and Christopher Macaluso (Eggpicnic) will host a dusk art workshop on the Parliament House forecourt. Eggpicnic are artists and birders who are passionate about wildlife conservation. Their award-winning work aims to capture the beauty of the natural world with the hope of inspiring others to protect it. In this friendly art making session you will be guided by Camilla and Chris to create your own artwork inspired by local birds, insects and trees.

Meanwhile, if you’re not keen on being the artist, head along to a talk with both Camila and Christopher, alongside expert ecologist Dr Michael Mulvaney. They’ll chat about the ecosystem here in Canberra and around Parliament House.

To find out more details, and to book head along to their website.

You can also check out their Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter to stay up to date with other activities and events!
