Aussie comedian Steph Tisdell’s Insta Bio is simple – Aboriginal Comedian: proud Ydinji woman: truth telling through jokes.
Her story however, is far more involved!
On the eve of her performance at the Canberra Theatre as part of the 2023 Multicultural Comedy Gala, she caught up with Rod & Gabi to explain why Steph traded a career as a Lawyer for one as a Comedian.
“My whole reason for doing Law in the first place was about justice, but there isn’t really a lot of justice in Law. Law is about precedent and money and rules that are actually the opposite of what I was trying to achieve.”
