The team at Mix 106.3 have a final tally on the funds raised through this year’s Give Me 5 campaign, a fundraiser aiming to help sick kids and their families at the Canberra Hospital.

Helen Falla, CEO of the Canberra Hospital Foundation announced this morning, the GM5 campaign raised a massive $68,522.78!

These funds will go towards purchasing equipment that distracts kids from invasive treatments and helps make their time in the hospital more enjoyable than may otherwise be the case.

Throughout the month of June the team at Mix 106.3 organized and participated in a bunch of fundraising activities.

There was the Grand Prix at Power Kart Raceway hosted by Kristen & Nige, the Five-Thru Drive-Thru with the CBR Wrapped Team, and last but certainly not least Kristen’s epic redemption dance at Throsby School.

Kristen’s ‘Do-Over’ saw her complete a complicated routine she’d learned as a child, but never completed due to a burst of stage fright. Kristen finally completed the dance, all for a great cause, in front of a crowd of students, teachers and listeners at Throsby School, legwarmers and all!

Thank you to all Canberrans who contributed to the final tally, and the community for supporting a worthwhile cause!
