The Night Noodle Markets are making a return this week! Please try to ramen calm – I mean remain calm.

The markets will be held from this Friday 25 February to Sunday 6 March and there is plenty of entertainment on offer from live music to dragon dancers, but let’s get down to what we’re all interested in: the FOOD. We have compiled a list of the dishes we are most looking forward to…

 

1. Flying Noodle

What’s better than noodles? Noodles that fly! Slurp on the iconic chicken, prawn or braised pork belly dragon noodles by flying noodles.

2. Korean Fried Chicken

Enjoy some Seoul food from Korbq including Tempura Eggplant, Tempura Vegetable Pancake and our pick – Korean Fried Chicken.

3. Potato Twistto

At first glance, this may look like just potato on a stick but don’t get it twisted these tornado potato sticks are seasoned to perfection and are a must try.

4. Roti Roll

@RollUp returns to the Night Noodle Markets again this year with yet another wrap battle. Choose between peking duck, satay chicken or vegetable wraps all of which taste as good as they look.

5. Pork Belly and Chicken Skewers

Hoy Pinoy returns to the Markets this year and as usual always delivers. Their mouthwatering signature pork belly skewers in a banana ketchup glaze always hits the spot.

 

6. Crispy Calamari and Long Potato Fries

If you’re after crunchy, deep-fried treats look no further than the giant crispy calamari and long potato fries from Calabang.

 

7. Yakisoba

Yakisoba is Japanese style fried noodles with zucchini, tomatoes and pickled ginger and is a perfect vegetarian option for veggos in the mood for noods.

8. Roast Pork Belly Gua Bao

We are crazy a-bao these buns by Wonderbao. Our pick is the roast pork belly gua bao but other notable mentions are Okonomiyaki Tofu Gua Bao, Korean Fried Chicken Gua Bao, BBQ Pork Bao and Veggie Bao.

9. Crackling Pork Noodle

Shallot Thai has a few cracking Thai dishes on the menu including Crackling Pork Noodle, Pad Thai Chicken and Pad See Ew.

We have to taco about Donburi Station’s fusion beef taco served with salsa and toppings on rice. Other noteworthy options on Donburi Station’s menu are Japanese Fried Dumplings and Osaka Noodles.

Making their way from Melbourne, Mr M never disappoints. This time they have delicious grilled bao on the menu with flavours such as BBQ hoisin pekin duck, satay wagyu beef and eggplant and quinoa.

Sacré bleu! This delicacy by Messina is exclusive to the markets. If you’re a fan of Messina’s Cinnie French Toast you’re bound to like this one too, it is a dulce de leche and peanut butter French toast with maple syrup gelato and condensed milk.

15. Pash N Dash Brownie

Tangy and absolutely delicious, these little slices of heaven will make your night that little bit sweeter. The crispy coconut biscuit base is topped with a layer of passionfruit condensed milk and is served with mango pancake cream, yuzu cream or coconut lychee yoghurt.
