ACT police have seized 452 cannabis plants following the search of three homes in Canberra.

Officer executed the search warrants at properties in Amaroo, Macgregor and Ainslie on Wednesday, as part of an ongoing investigation into the cultivation of commercial quantities of cannabis.

255 plants were seized from a Macgregor house and 197 plants were seized from an Amaroo house.

A 34-year old man and a 35-year-old man were each charged with one count of cultivating a commercial quantity of a controlled plant for sale.

A 64-year-old man faces two charges of cultivating a commercial quantity of a controlled plant for sale.

All three are due to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court on Thursday.
