ACT Police have arrested four anti-vaccine mandate protestors on Monday night after they were found to be camping illegally in the Territory.

A group of demonstrators had set up camp out at the Cotter with some setting up beyond the designated grounds.

When Police arrived they found quite a number of people who’d set up illegally, most moved on when directed but four were arrested for failing to leave.

It comes after protestors were cleared out from Exhibition Park on Monday morning after they failed to leave the grounds by the deadline issued for Sunday afternoon.

Three people were arrested for trespassing as part of the operation to clear EPIC ahead of the Canberra Show.

Police are reminding people who are wishing to camp in the ACT, to only set up in designated and available campsites.

Anyone who suspects a person may be camping illegally can report it to police on 131 444 or by contacting Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
