Nightfest has kicked off with a bang in the nation’s capital, with plenty to tempt Canberrans out after dark in the fresh Spring weather.
Here’s just some of the exciting things we’ll be checking out at Commonwealth Park….
Live Music
There’s live acts scheduled for every night, with local talent in the spotlight. There’s something for everyone including the Sweethearts String Quartet, the Kim Yang Band, Sean Murphy, and local boy Will Campbell.
Sit back amongst the divine light installations and treat your ears to some fabulous tunes.

Cabaret Performances
Local dance companies will take the stage multiple times this long weekend. Hang around until after 10 for the Jazida Burlesque Show, full of feathers, fans and flare! Kix Cabaret will also be making an appearance.

Glitter Tattoos and Glow-in-the-dark Face Painting
The Gecko Gang will be there every night with plenty of activities for the kids, and the kids at heart.
They’ll have face painting, glitter tattoos, and balloon modelling!

Delicious Food
There’s plenty of foodie experiences on offer with food trucks galore. If fine dining is more your style, check out Lobster & Co. Their core menu item is a Lobster Roll served with fennel slaw on a brioche bun, truffle fires on the side and a glass of champagne.
