The national memorial service to celebrate the life of Her Majesty The Queen, Elizabeth II will take place in the Great Hall at Parliament House from 11am on September 22.

Attendance at the service will be by invitation only. The building will not be open for public entry until 1:30pm. Large video screens will be set up on Federation Mall for members of the public to view the event.

 

Getting to the Memorial Service

Members of the public are invited to park in the City, or at Russell Offices where they can then jump on a free shuttle bus to Federation Mall to view the live stream of the National Memorial Service. The busses will start from 9:30am from the City interchange with the last shuttle leaving at 10.30am. Return shuttles will also will be available at the end of the service from 12.15pm transporting members of the public back to City and Russell.

Traffic Changes

Traffic control measures will be in place at Kings Avenue and Commonwealth Avenue entrances to Parliament Drive from 6am. Access will be restricted to passholders and invited guests only. Federation Mall will be closed to traffic from 8am.

Parking Changes

The public carpark will be closed to non-official vehicles from 6am til 1:30pm. The private car parks will be accessible at all times.
