Some of Canberra’s very best local filmmakers are set to take centre stage as Enlighten’s annual short film festival ‘Lights, Canberra, Action’ hits the silver screen tonight.

Each year, the festival adopts a different theme and a list of ten items from around the Territory that need to be featured in each of the films.

This year’s theme of ‘Reflection’ was revealed late last month, giving filmmakers just ten days to write, shoot and edit their productions before the submission deadline.

The top 12 finalists will now be projected at an outdoor screening at The Senate Rose Gardens with locals invited to bring a chair or blanket and enjoy the show.

The entertainment starts at 7pm with the films scheduled to start rolling at 8pm.
