The number of people with COVID-19 reciving care in hospital within the ACT remains steady at 3 on Thursday with none being treated in the ICU.

It comes as the Territory records another record day of new infections with 85 cases detcted overnight.

That’s up from Wednesday’s case load of 58 after more than 5,200 tests were processed in the previous 24 hours.

It comes as case number across the border also spike again.

A record 5,715 new infections were recorded in New South Wales on Thursday, along with one death.

The number of people with the virus in hospital has increased by 45 overngiht for a total of 347.

Of those, 45 are in the intesvie care unit.
