A person is on the run with another in police custody following a series of car thefts in Canberra’s Inner North on Wednesday night.
It’s alleged officers tried to arrest the pair in O’Connor, suspected of possessing a stolen car, when one of the offenders escaped, getting away in a police vehicle.
The police vehicle was later found abandoned a short distance away with another vehicle stolen.
All three stolen cars have since been recovered.
