The Canberra Airport is warning of the possibility of further traffic delays around the precinct over coming days, following demonstrations by anti-vaccination mandate protesters on Sunday.

Travellers are again being advised to leave plenty of time to arrive before flights.

Both the airport and the Parliamentary Triangle remain on high alert following protest activity last week but ACT Police have also issued a further warning for the rest of the Territory with demonstrations expected to continue for a second week.

In a statement, Police warn other areas of Canberra may be targeted with little notice.

“Anyone moving across Canberra should allow for extra time due to possible disruptions on roads, in open spaces, at shopping centres and near office buildings.”
