Remember Floyd – the giant pink gnome mascot of Floriade?

Well, he’s back again and this year he’s bringing 35 of his closest family members to the Nation’s Capital.

To celebrate the 35th anniversary of the annual flower show – the same number of small pink gnomes have been hidden around Canberra as part of the ‘Find Floyd’s Family Competition.’

“The much-loved Floriade mascot who has been busy touring Canberra, has become separated from his very large family! Before he can resume his important Floriade duties, he’s asking Canberrans to help him find all 35 of his family members.”

Located in shopping centres, businesses, libraries and hotels across the Territory, Canberrans are now being encouraged to track them down for the chance to win some pretty cool prizes.

Clues to the whereabouts of the gnomes are given out on Floriade’s Facebook and Instagram.

Once located, entrants can scan the QR code and enter the competition with major prizes including a two night stay at the Hyatt Hotel Canberra, limousine ride to Floriade and tickets to Nightfest.
