Get ready to learn, play and create with this year’s Multicultural Festival!

The Festival is always a calendar highlight, but this one is especially special as it marks 25 years of multicultural fun in the capital.

It’s run from the 17th – the 19th of February in multiple locations with a jam-packed roster of events to attend!

With COVID restrictions out the window, this year’s festival will have a couple of firsts itself.

It’ll be the first year there’ll be hands-on workshops, with 35 to choose from! Some of these include learning how to wear an Indian Sari, Calligraphy, Kung Fu, and bush dancing.

Plus it’s the first year that cooking will be center stage, with a dedicated cooking demonstration program at the City Walk stage across all three days. The cooking extravaganza will feature 15 community and professional chefs sharing their cultural dishes from all over the world.

It’s going to be chockers with eight stages along City Walk and Glebe Park. Lots of talented headliners will be performing including Indigenous dancer and singer Mitch Tambo, East Timorese Reggae group Dili Allstars, and German Comedy and musical group the Beez.

Suffice to say it’s going to be a great time, and a fabulous opportunity to learn a new skill, listen to some great music, and enjoy our beautiful city.
