Two teenagers have been charged following the theft of a taxi at knifepoint in Tuggeranong last month.

It’s alleged the two 16-year-old’s stopped the driver of the taxi along Ashley Drive in Gowrie on Saturday morning 30 January, threating the driver with a knife before getting away in the stolen vehicle.

The taxi was found a short time later in Bank and the teenagers arrested.

As part of the police investigation, officers are also looking into reports of the same teens approached a number of vehicles in the Wanniassa, Monash and Gowrie prior to the taxi driver.

The pair have already been charged with aggravated robbery.
